Training wheels be GONE!

We have been walking and riding our bikes up to the school and here in the neighborhood. The training wheels on Azul's bike where about 3 inches off the ground, so she was already doing it solo. I took the training wheels off, and Azul took off riding! Both of the girls are such tomboys!

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ...........

Well, I had a sleep study last night. This was so much easier than I had imagined! My room up at the hospital was like a hotel room! I have always snored, but since I had gained so much weight, my doctor wanted to make sure I didn't have sleep apnea, and I don't! I got home in time this morning to walk with the girls to school. I have lost a total of 15 pounds! I seem to be averaging about 5 pounds a week with this routine. At this rate I should be back to my original weight in 2 years. Yeah, right! I also did a colonscopy this summer and a bone density scan. I am actually very healthy. It will be good to sleep in my own bed tonight. Have a great day!

New Additions to the Family

Yesterday we bought two new goldfish, and a mystery snail. The girls and myself, like watching them swim around in their bowl. We can watch them while we are at the table. So far, summer has been very relaxing.

Happy Birthday Celia Maria & Flavio!

Yesterday we drove up to Troy, TX for a birthday party for some friends of ours that used to our neighbors. Celia Maria turned 5 and Flavio turned 7. Troy is about 30 miles south of Waco. It was a really nice time and fun party. We took two cars. I left early, since I had to be at work at 6:30 pm. Carlos stayed with the girls, so they could enjoy the party. Celia, mom, is on my list of incredible people. She made the cakes and did all of the games and food. Several of our good friends also drove up to the party. It was a nice party, and we all enjoyed visiting and relaxing. The pictures are of Aden, Azul, Celia Maria, and Flavio with the pinatas, Barbie and the Red Power Ranger, Red Power Ranger cake and Barbie cake, and out of the front porch. I had to take a picture of some of the stuffed animals. They have more stuffed animals then any one that I know. They are literal from the floor to the ceiling in ALL four corners of the room. The girls are enjoying their summer program, and so are we! I walk every morning to school with the girls, and I am able to walk another 30 to 45 minutes there after. Carlos has a nice summer schedule. He goes in at 12 noon till eight o'clock. We have been enjoying the pool in the mornings together. We have been able to go down and swim for about an hour and a half. I have lost 10 pounds! The picture is of our neighborhood pool. Carlos wouldn't let me post the picture of him in the pool. First Day of the School Summer Program

Today is the first day of the summer program, which is offered every summer for six weeks. Aden has attended for the last two years, and Azul has wanted to attend, but wasn't old enough. This year, both girls are attending the program. The program is a nice blend of fun and academics. Plus, the girls enjoy seeing their little friends from school. Azul's teacher this summer, is the same as the past school year. Aden has a different teacher for the program. Have a GREAT first day of school!

Happy Father's Day Carlos & Neal!

Today is Father's Day! The girls made some cute drawings and colored some pictures for Carlos. I bought an ice cream cake, and we are going to grill some corn and ribs a little later in the day. I'll have to leave around six o clock to go into work, but at least I'll a little time here today. We all have time off for the 4th of July weekend, so we'll have more time together. Neal you are remembered on this day also. Happy Father's Day to everyone!

A Day at the Lake

We spent the day out at Lake Travis Thursday. It was so nice to just sit and relax. The girls love to be out in the water. The water is always so COLD! Even in August. The girls made some little friends at the lake. The picture with the float tube is with some kids they met during the day. Sissy and Sassy love to get in the water also. They are really good little swimmers. June 12th was also Neal's birthday. He always loved to hear the purr from the motors of the speed boats. He would have loved to have been out with us enjoying the day.

Summer so far has been FUN!

We are only two days into our summer break, but so far it's been nice. Today the girls slept in late, and worked on some Math and Reading mid morning. Yesterday the girls got together with their friends to play and swim. The picture up above is of Aden, Azul, and Claudia playing out on the trampoline with a water sprinkler. The girls have next week to relax, then on June 16th, they start their summer program. The program is 8 am to 12:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

End of the school year parties

This is the last week of school. YEA!! Yesterday Aden had her 1st grade party, and today Azul had her party. This has been a GREAT year! Both of the girls will be attending a summer program up at the school in 2 weeks. Happy Summer Vacation!

Congratulations Aden! Your a second grader now!

This morning at 8:00 am was the first grade awards ceremony up at the school. Aden received her award along with all of the other little first graders. There are currently six 1st grade classes. Three regular and two Bilingual classes. Their school is SO supportive and positive! Every child received some type of award. I had worked all night, but I didn't want to miss the ceremony. I thank GOD that I am on this schedule, so I am able to be at the school for their activities etc....This is the last week of school, so tomorrow will be Aden's class party and Wednesday, Azul's class will have a little party. Azul has her post operative visit with Dr. Sanchez today at 10:40! Thank heavens for COFFEE!
