Easter Egg Hunt and Bluebonnet Pictures

Our church every year has a big Easter egg hunt and a little carnival. The church hid over 10,000 eggs! The girls had a good time. Azul had not been feeling well, but was up to going. On our way to the church we found a beautiful area filled with lush bluebonnets, so we stopped and took a few pictures! Later on the girls decorated some Easter eggs.

Azul's birthday was Wed, but we had a little celebration after all the craziness on Saturday. The girls still had there soccer uniforms on in the pictures! Azul still LOVES Tinkerbell, so we had a Tinkerbell and her friends cake. Happy Birthday! This was not the best week to change to a day shift, but next week will be smoother!?!

Working in the Yard

The last couple of days have been beautiful! Carlos and the girls picked up leaves, and Carlos mowed the backyard. This is going to be a crazy weekend, so we were trying to get a little ahead on chores...If that is even possible!?

Happy Birthday Azul!

Today is Azul's birthday, and she is the big "7"! My schedule changed this week, so we did the birthday cupcakes at school yesterday. The plan is to have a little party at the house this Saturday. My time has flown! Happy Birthday Azul! Love Ya!

First Soccer Games of the Season!

Today were our first games of the spring season for soccer! The girls have only had a few practices, since the weather here has been so crazy, with snow and rain etc...This year the girls ended up with the same color uniforms! A very girlie "Lavender"! Aden is continuing to play with the same team this spring, the Leopards, but Azul is playing with an older group of girls in the next age group. She is playing on the Cheetahs. So we have a couple of "cats" this season. My schedule will change in two weeks! YEA!!!! So it will be so much easier to balance out everything, especially on the weekends! VIA SOCCER!

Talent Night!

Last night the girls performed in the school's talent program. They also participated last year. This year Aden, Azul, and Tiffany, our little neighbor sang "I miss you", by Hannah Montana. It was so cute to see all of the students participating in the program. Next year, all 4th and 5th graders can join clubs etc...and is already talking about joining the White Tiger Dance Team, which also preformed last night. Break a leg!

More Snow Fun!

The girls got home from school, and they were so excited. They quickly made a snowman! It started to snow very heavily, and it was just so cold, that we made them come inside. Azul was just shaking, she was so cold! We all had some hot cocoa, and the girls changed their clothes and laid down a took a nap! We actually have found something that tires them out!!! We need more snow! Hee, Hee!!!!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

This has been such a cold, crazy winter! It was 75 degrees on Sunday, and we were out in shorts, and actually did some yard work! Last night a Canadian cold front blew in, and it is just bitterly cold, and it's snowing! I had an appointment this morning in Georgetown, which is north of Round Rock, and there was already about a half an inch of snow when I came out to the parking lot! I actually had to scrap my windshield and mirrors to drive home. The snow started to hit here about 10 am! This is suppose to continue until tomorrow! And of course, I work tomorrow! But it is so pretty, and it looks so clean and fresh! I am sure the girls at school are excited. Azul was suppose to go a field trip today, so I will find later if they ever made the trip! I took these pictures as it started to snow, and this is a very wet cold snow!

Day Trip to Lockhart

Yesterday, we took a day trip to Lockhart for some good BBQ! We have been wanting to go, but we are never all off at the same time with our current schedules. I am STILL on a night shift! Yesterday, the girls and Carlos were off, and well, I had worked all weekend, but I still wanted to go! There is a great place to eat in Lockhart called "Smitty's"! It is located in an old building, and when you walk in, the the whole place smells of mesquite. The walls are all stained with soot, and there are open fires, yes, open fires right on the floor where you stand in line to order. LOVE IT! The food is so good, it was worth the drive! There were so many people that I couldn't get any pictures of the fire on the floor. The whole lot behind the smokehouse is filled with firewood! The courthouse on the corner in really interesting, so I snapped a quick pic from the car. We wanted to stop at McKinney Falls on the way back, but it was already 4 pm. We'll do that another day.

Bowling on #9! Happy Birthday Aden!

Yesterday we had Aden's birthday at the Main Event! It was a bowling party! We had a nice turn out of kids, and it was a lot of FUN! Aden received some nice gifts, and it was nice not to have to deal with the clean up etc...!!!! I think this was the best part, NO CLEAN UP!

Happy Birthday Aden!

Yesterday was Aden"s birthday! She is now 9 years old! I can hardly believe how fast the time has gone. I took cupcakes up to the school for lunch, and in the afternoon we had a few of Aden's neighbor friends come over to play and eat cake and ice cream. Today is the REAL party at the Main Event! It is going to be a bowling party! Should be interesting, since Aden has only bowled on the WII! The girls now both have guitars, and will be taking lessons again this summer.

3rd-5th Grade Science Fair

This evening was the 3rd through 5th grade science fair at the school. The third graders do a classroom project, but next year all 4th and 5th graders have to do a project independently. Aden's class did a group project with bubble gum. We could have spent the entire evening looking at all of the different projects!
