It's Been a Busy Two Weeks!

The last two weeks have been BUSY, BUSY! But things are starting to get back into a normal routine. The week before school we had orientations and PTO activities along with pulling everything all together with buying school supplies, clothes, etc...This week the girls started school on Tuesday, and only one orientation this week. I am on the PTO board this year, so I have been helping out at the school also. Aden starting soccer practice three weeks ago, and we are still waiting for the roster for Azul's team. This year the U7 Girls, which is Azul's age group, had a lot of issues, so the the U7 teams are just now being formed. The girls first game is September 12th! So for the next two Saturdays, we can sleep in etc...

Nice Day in San Antionio!

We had an appointment in San Antonio this morning about the Green Card issue. Everything went very smoothly with the appointment. I had worked last night, so it was tiring, but we stopped on the way back to eat, so it was like a little day trip. Aden started soccer practice today, and the girls go back to school next week!

One Last Project!

This our last week of vacation, so were finishing up just one last project! We have a great summer, but I am glad it is coming to an end. My friend in San Antonio gave the girls each a really cool cigar box with hinges and made out of wood. So were thought the boxes would be nice to place their collectibles etc...So we painted the boxes yesterday, and today the girls worked on some decorations on the front of the boxes. They should be finished this week. It is hard to believe the school starts next week!

A GREAT Day in San Antonio!

I had an appointment yesterday in San Antonio, and afterwards we got together with some good friends in SA. I had not seen Shirley and Tom for about 7 years! Aden was just a baby last time we had been to visit! We went out to eat and went back to their BEAUTIFUL home, and swam and had a great visit! Being at their home, is like going to a vacation resort! I could have stayed there all night, but Carlos was at home, and we needed to go. We got home around 11 pm, but it's summer!

Aden Was Baptisted!

Sunday evening, Aden was baptised! She was the one who came forward, and wanted to have this done, which made it even more beautiful! Our church had rented out Veteran's Memorial Water Park in Cedar Park for the evening service. There was a service with mostly singing and a short message, and the baptisms, all children for this service. I cried! I feel so blessed, and when the children's pastor asked me if I was Aden's grandmother, I told him that I am truly blessed at 50 in November with a 8 and 6 year old! And believe me, I FELT BLESSED! And it felt GOOD!

A Fun Day at Schlitterbaun!

Schilitterbaun is probably one of our favorite water parks, and we try to go at least once every year. We spent the day out at the park last Wednesday, enjoying the COLD water, which is one of the things I like about the park. Most of the water in the original section comes from the Comal River! Carlos' little niece Jennifer spent the week with us, and she came along with us to the park. I only took a few pics in the lagoon, which was close to the lockers, where my camera was. We had a FUN day! Can't wait until next year!
