Carlos' family stopped by on Sunday afternoon, and they ended spending Memorial Day with us. It was Carlos' two aunts and three cousins, and his grandfather. His grandfather is going to be 97 in August! Besides being hard of hearing, he was very active and very functional! WOW! It was a very nice visit. The only thing was I worked Sunday night, so I really couldn't sleep, which made for a long day, but I slept good Monday night. Aden took some picture on her camera, so when I "find" her camera, I'll post what ever pictures she took. I found Aden's camera, and I have to laugh, ALL of the pictures are of Carlos' cousin, the girls really liked him! The one picture also has our LIVE IN neighbor, Nabelys.

Aden gets her Braces!
Yesterday, Aden had about 3/4 of the brackets and braces placed. She now has PINK braces, and she looks soooooooo CUTE! This morning she was very sore and couldn't ear very well, but this was all explained to us in the office that she would be sore for a couple of days. Today is Friday, so I will be going up to the school to eat with the girls, and I'll take some soup etc...This picture was taken this morning, so Aden still had her PJs on and was half asleep! It is all going to be SO worth it in the end! SMILE!

Aden's last soccer game!
Today was suppose to be the last day for soccer games for both Aden and Azul, but it started to rain during Aden's game, and about an hour later there was even heavier rain, so Azul's last game was canceled. Tuesday will be Azul's end of the season soccer party at Mr. Gattis' Pizza. This year both of the girls had their parties during the week during their regular soccer practice time, which was very nice. This was the first time for Aden to play in the rain, it was very different. We need to clean out the car! VIA SOCCER!

Soccer comes to an end!

Last night was Aden's end of the season soccer pool party! YEA! It has been a great season, but I'm glad it is coming to an end. The girls have their last game this up coming Saturday, and Azul has her end of the season soccer party next Tuesday! We have all thoroughly enjoyed watching the girls play and mature in their friendships with their teammates and with the sport. It will be nice to take a little break this summer! I went directly to the party from the hospital, so I didn't have my camera. VIA SOCCER!

CONGRATS to Carlos!!!!

Yesterday was our big day in court, Federal Immigration Court in San Antionio! The judge presiding over our case over turned the decision for Carlos to return to Mexico! This process has been overwhelmingly exhausting, to say the least, but worth the fight! Everything will be finalized hopefully this summer. Apparently, a written decision is more difficult to overturn, and the judge is trying to prevent an appeal care, so we'll take it! A special thank you to our attorney, Anne Monahan, who is located in San Antonio, and our presiding judge, the Honorable Judge Carte. WOW, is all I can say! and Praise GOD! And I am glad this is over~!

Happy Mother's Day 2009!
Yesterday was Mother's Day, and it was such a nice day! I was off, since we need to be San Antonio Monday morning. Carlos and the girls really made it a very special day! I was the Queen all day long. Carlos did shrimp, chicken, and steaks with grilled veggies and corn on the cob! YUM! I also received a dozen red roses while the girls recited a beautiful Mother's Day poem! Thank you! I am so lucky to have such a beautiful family!
Field Day 2009!
Friday, May 8th was CWES' annual Field Day. I had volunteered last year, and wanted to help again this year. It is always a lot of fun and a little CRAZY! This will be the last year that Aden and Azul will be in the same grouping of classes, K-2nd. K through 2nd grades are in the mornings and 3rd through 5th is in the afternoon. I was hoarse by the time I got home, same as last year, from all the cheering etc...VIA FIELD DAY!

You Just Never Know !
Yesterday our neighbor had a swam of honey bees that had deiced to "rest" while a new home was found. Our neighbor had us come over and see the bees, which looked like a pulsating "blob" of about 5,000 bees! About 4:30 pm that same afternoon, Steve, our neighbor had two bee keepers coming to contain the bees. LITTLE DID WE KNOW, THAT THE NEW HIVE WAS GOING TO BE UNDER OUR SHED IN THE BACK!!!! The bee keepers started up the tree, and the bees CLUMPED, and swarmed up and over into our yard, and then they ALL started under our shed in the back! The swam was about the size of a VW! The bee keepers jumped the fence, and Ted the younger one, covered the hole with his BEAR HAND, preventing the QUEEN and the other bees from entering the hive! He captured the QUEEN, and so the others were able to be captured quickly. I have NEVER seen so many bees in my life!!! These guys had NO bee suits! It was UNBELIEVABLE! I took about 100 pics! UNBELIEVABLE! Thank you Wilbur and Ted, the bee keepers, and Steve, for contacting these two to remove the bees. According to the bee keepers, these bees will produce about 6-8 gallons of honey by next year! WOW!
SOCCER Changes!

I attended a meeting yesterday afternoon for the PAYSL soccer league. Aden is moving up into the U9 Girls division in the fall, and there are A LOT of changes! In the fall we start OFF SIDES, and there will be a goalie! We also start traveling for games, but not too far. Thank goodness! This is a very exciting time, and the girls are really enjoying playing and are GOOD! Azul will start playing on a much bigger field, and Aden is moving up to a bigger field also. Azul is moving from FIELD #4 to #12, and Aden is moving from FIELD #12 to #7! For Aden's team, the girls can get carded etc...I volunteered to do the team roaster in the fall, but I'll need a security clearance and a class, so we'll see in the fall. VIA SOCCER!
