Soccer Madness!

Saturday was soccer, pictures, more pictures, and more soccer! This was an entire day event, with the running back and forth to the picture location and soccer fields. Saturday was team pictures, and it is always crazy, but this year it was cold and windy! The wind chill was in the 30's, which made the games seem like they were a couple of hours long. Both of the girls won their games on Saturday, YEA!

CWES Talent Show!

Last night was the school's talent show. The girls did a routine from High School Musical, the song, Fabulous. It was so cute. I used my camcorder, since is was only 1 1/2 mins, and I put their routine on a DVD. But I did take a couple of pictures of a routine that the Principle and some of the teachers did, which was ABC, 123, a Motown hit, which was so cute! Especially to see Mrs. Collins, the principle, third from the left, with a big wig and dancing to Motown! The whole show was very fun and cute!

BUGZ!

Azul had her musical program tonight called "BUGZ". Very, very cute! Azul was a lady bug. The cutest song of the program was "Be a Lady", which of course was sung by the Lady Bugs. There is an elderly man, who is a volunteer, and he always does an outstanding job on the back drops for ALL of the performances. Carlos has been able to attend so many events, since he changed his schedule at work.

We Will Miss You Grandma!

This afternoon, Pat called me with the news about grandma. I haven't shared the news with my family yet, but I know everyone will be saddened. We have so many beautiful things which grandma made around our home. The girls have their Raggedy Ann dolls, and other things, which were made with much love and care. I have my Gone with the Wind, porcelain doll on my desk, and have always had her on display. Thank you grandma for coming and visiting last spring! You will truly be missed. Thank you Pat for getting the news to us, you are truly appreciated!

Happy Birthday Azul!! Your 6!

Today is Azul's birthday! I can not believe she is already six years old! I went up to the school today and ate lunch and took cupcakes. Later on, we invited the girls little neighbor friends over for some pizza, cake, and fun. We all had a really nice time. Happy Birthday Azul!

First Rose of Spring

Our roses are covered with rose buds, and the first yellow rose bloomed this morning. We should have multiple blooms in a couple of days. Happy Spring!

Nice Visit from Pat and Hal

Yesterday we had a nice visit from Pat and Hal. We all had fun playing Marbles, a game they had brought, and lots of card games. We enjoyed visiting and eating some yummy BBQ. They will be staying in New Braunfels for two weeks, and we are wanting to go down and visit, if possible. Were hoping they stop every year when their in our area! The pictures were taken in the front playing with a big "green" Frisbee, and chalk drawing of Pat and Hal, Hal is flipping "burgers" on the BBQ drawn on the back yard fence. Azul and Aden were the artist who did this master piece!

Spring Break! YEA!

We are all on Spring Break this week! YEA!!! The girls are off, and we both have been off. I took off last weekend, so we could start the week out doing some fun stuff. We have just been doing some fun things locally. We were in San Antonio and San Marcos on Monday, and Tuesday, we spent the day at Austin Park and Pizza. We were there until closing time! Today will probably just be a trip to the park, maybe Sam's Club. I am working tomorrow as a favor, but the hospital just called, and the census is low, so I might end up with the day off! Were hoping Pat and Hal will stop by on Friday. It will be nice to see them! Happy Spring Break!

Practicing for the Talent Show

The girls are going to be in the school talent school at the end of March. They have been practicing for about a week, and their making some good progress. They are going to perform "FABULOUS" from High School Musical III. The pictures are of Aden, Azul, Tiffiny, Nabelys, and Claudia.

Our First Games of the Spring Season!

Azul had her first game this morning, and it was WINDY! The Sidekicks won 18 to 6! Starting next week, Azul will only have one practice a week. Aden had her game this afternoon at 3:45 pm. It turned out to be a gloomy, muggy, and windy day, but the girls did GREAT! This is going to be a great season! VIA soccer!

Friday Lunch Date

Fridays have been our day to eat together up at the school. We sat outside, but March has been windy like a LION! It was pretty windy, but warm outside, so we opted to stay out on the picnic tables. This whole year has been so nice, since the girl's lunch times overlap, and we can all be together for about 20 minutes.

2nd Grade Field Trip

Today was the 2nd grade field trip to the Austin Zoo. The Austin Zoo is refuge for rescued exotic animals here in Austin. It was my first time to visit the zoo. It was 87 degrees today, and beautiful for a school trip. We went to Zilker park in downtown Austin on the way back to the school. Azul will be having a trip next week to the Zachery Scott Theater on Friday, and a stop at Zilker Park. I am already looking forward to the next trip.

Soccer is back with a ROAR!

Soccer is back into full swing, and this year the girls are practicing twice a week. Aden has practice Monday and Tuesday, and Azul has practice Tuesday and Thursday. So our week is full of soccer practices, but we are all enjoying the practices. The girls have their first games this up coming Saturday. Aden is on the Leopards and Azul is on the Sidekicks. VIA soccer!

Aden got to do the morning announcements at the school this morning! It is televised throughout the school in the morning. I took a picture of her as she was reviewing her lines this morning, and the video is her practicing her morning announcements. GREAT job Aden!

Zilker Part Kite Festival

Every year here in Austin, the Zilker Park Kite Festival is always an enjoyable event. This is the 81st year for the festival here in downtown Austin. Carlos and the girls spent the day enjoying the kites, while I slept. Not not exactly an even trade! It is a beautiful day, and perfect for flying kites. Go fly a kite!
