Happy Birthday Carlos!

Today is Carlos' birthday. We all went out to eat at The Texas Road House, then returned to the house for some ice cream cake. I have to work tonight, so it's off to the hospital in 2 hours. I'll be off in two weeks, and we will have a little more time.

The Jonas Brother's 3D Concert

The girls LOVE the Jonas Brothers, and today their new movie/concert in 3D came out, and we all went to see the event. It was so cute to hear Aden and Azul singing and clapping their hands with the songs. There was a BIG turn out, mostly kids under the age of 15 and families. Aden has had the date for the first day of this movie marked on her calendar since the first part of January. You ROCK Joe, Kevin, and Nick!

NO Camera for a WEEK! YICKS!

I loaned my camera to one of my friends and co-workers up at the hospital to take some pictures of staff and our volunteers. I am the editor for our department newsletter, and we are doing some feature stories and need pictures. I might need to borrow Aden's camera. This is going to be a busy week, Aden starts soccer practice and we are going back down to San Antonio on Friday.

A Valentine's Birthday Party

Yesterday we all went to a birthday party for one of our friends' daughter, who was born on Valentine's Day. It was an all girl party and the theme was Valentines, Hearts, and of course Chocolate. We went in two vehicles, since I went straight to work from the party. All of my stuff was in the car he was driving, and Carlos parked down the street, so no pictures. But it was so nice to see our friends, and the girls really had a fun time. Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

The girls had their Valentine's parties today up at the school. This is always a lot of fun, and having parents there always makes it fun for the kids. I had to go back and forth from Aden's to Azul's rooms, but it was still a lot of fun. As always, there was A LOT of food. Azul's class watched a movie, so the room was dark, and I wasn't able to get many pictures. Aden's class played games and had a good time. As always, there was a nice turn out of parents, which I always like to see. Happy Valentine's Day!

Getting ready for Valentines Day tomorrow

Tomorrow are the girl's Valentines parties. We made 4 dozen cookies with chocolate kisses and finished up Valentine cards. I am planning on going up tomorrow to both parties.

Getting back to living

We had been all under the weather last week, and didn't do a whole lot last week. I usually eat up at the school with the girls on Fridays, but the girls were home sick last Friday. I went up to the school to eat lunch with the girls and check out some books from the school library. It has been a dreary, drizzly day, so we ate lunch in side. Azul invited a little friend to eat lunch with us also. I just love being with the girls!

Beautiful Rain!

We have been in a terrible drought for several months and under severe burn bans due to the dry conditions. We had an isolated shower that was a beautiful sight. The rain was actually hitting the sliding glass door, which goes out to the deck, so the picture is not very good, but we'll take every drop of rain we can get. I googled the ducks, we didn't get THAT much rain. Hee Hee!

Battling the Cold Bug

We all caught the "Cold Bug", but are starting to feel better. The weather has been crazy! Warm then cold, then warm again.
