Today was the first day of school for Aden and Azul. Azul is in Kindergarten this year, and Aden is in second grade. WOW, time is going fast! Azul will be in school all day this year, which is going to be a big change from last year. Last year, Azul only went to school for 3 hours. The girls were very excited, and up at 5:45!!!!!! Yikes! It is always CRAZY the first day of school! It will be nice to have the house quiet for awhile during the day. The girls were quickly in their seats, so I didn't get pictures of the teachers with the girls.

Take me out to the Ball Game!
We all went out to the "DELL DIAMOND" Monday night to see the Round Rock Express. They are one level below pro, and are mostly Houston Astros part of the time, so It's good base ball. We had a really good time, and there are LOTS of activities for the kids! We watched the game for a bit, then played etc...But it was a fun time.

Astro Mama!!

Thursday night, I returned to the sleep lab for a CPAP fitting and titration. It turns out I do have some mild sleep apnea. I was only a 9 on a scale of 5 to 99, so it's very mild. The plan is according to the results, that I would greatly benefit from having my tonsils removed, but my ENT wants me to try the CPAP for 6 weeks first, before making any decisions. I have to admit, I slept GREAT, and I woke up the next morning feeling completely rested. Sounds crazy, but I actually felt great the next morning. But we'll see after six weeks how I feel. I thought I tired all of the time from just being busy, but I just wasn't sleeping well.

Just taking it easy!!
I had minor surgery on Tuesday, and have just been taking it easy the last couple of days. The first two days post op were pretty ruff, but today, Friday, I have been able to get up and do a few things around the house. Carlos has been great with helping, and the girls have spent the week with Carlos' sister, which has been a great help. I think I'll be OK to return to work tomorrow night, but I'll see. I had such a fast traumatic delivery with Joseph 28 years ago, that I ended up with 4Th degree lacerations and severe pelvic floor tearing, a lot of the scaring had opened, and I was having some bleeding and a lot of pain. My colonoscopy revealed the bleeding was coming from a very painful fissure which had developed. I also have a 4Th degree cystocele and prolapsed uterus, which I will be having a hysterectomy in the spring. It's funny, because both of my pregnancies in my 40's were completely normal, it's all from 28 years ago. I had no insurance, and when your in that predicament, no one cares, especially your doctor. Thank GOD, we have great doctors and good insurance. I just wanted to share. Please keep us in your prayers.

A Day out at Inks Lake
We spent the day yesterday out at Inks Lake. It is a beautiful state park. We had never gone up there, and we had been wanting to go for some time. Next time we go up, the plan is to camp for a couple of days. Jennifer, Carlos' niece has been staying with us all week, so she spent the day with us. The girls really enjoyed the water. We found a spot right on the lake, with a shaded picnic table and playground that was close. Later in the day, a group of ducks swam up close to the girls, and they enjoyed feeding them. It was a wonderful day, and we all enjoyed ourselves. It's back to work for me tonight and tomorrow. I can't believe summer is almost over. We have been able to do so many fun things this summer. It's been a GOOD summer!

A Night Out in the Park
Last night we all went down to Zilker Park and had the pleasure of seeing Beauty and the Beast, the musical version from Disney. The Austin Parks and Recreation association puts on several plays during the spring and summer. We have gone down to other productions, and we have never been disappointed. These are professional productions, offered "FREE" if you can believe it! There all run on cooperate donations etc...The theater is a hillside, outdoor structure. There is always a breeze and lots of shade. We all enjoyed the show. The pictures are of the girls in the back, giggling and having fun. The other pics are at Zilker park. Carlos' little niece has been here for the last couple of days visiting. We are all going out to Inks' Lake in Burnet, Tx, as soon as everyone is up and awake. It was a late night last night.
