Happy Memorial Day!

Today is Memorial Day! We had short sun shower this morning, but the sun has come out, and boy is it humid! The picture of the flag is in the front of our home. This flag was Ken and Arguel's flag. The girls were enjoying at "sit" in the hammock. I bought this hammock from a street vendor in Veracruz, Mexico. We are all home today, which is nice. The girls and Carlos had a four day weekend. I worked my usual schedule. Have a safe day!

Azul is Home!

We came home yesterday afternoon. Boy it felt good to be home! The girls didn't want to leave the hospital! Our hospital is incredible! There are SO many distractions and activities to keep kids minds off of why they are in the hospital. Azul only got up once last night with some mild pain. We all thank GOD that everything was taken care of so smoothly. These are a couple of pictures of Azul and Aden. The two pictures of Azul were in the recovery room. "THAT'S WERE I WORK"! The other two pics are up in Azul's room with Aden in bed with her. We let Aden spend the night Thursday with Azul. She had a roll out bed.

Suprise visit to the hospital

Azul had appendicitis yesterday morning! We were on our way to a school field trip, when Azul became distressed with pain in her tummy. We ended up in the school nurse's office, and Azul could not be consoled . I ended up taking her to the ER, and she had several tests, including blood work, urine, and a Cat Scan. Azul had surgery about an hour after the CT scan. There was an angel watching over Azul, because the buses to take the class on the field trip were 45 minutes late! I took a couple to pictures of Azul in the recovery room, and her room, which I will post will post after we get home later today.

Happy Mother's Day!

Sunday, May 11th was Mother's Day! I am really enjoying being a MOM all over again. The girls made some cute cards at the school with poems and hand prints inside. Later in the afternoon, we all went out and ate at "POSADOS", which is a Mexican restaurant. Go figure! The girls love the "soft serve" ice cream, which is in three different flavors.

End of the School Year Carnival

The girls had their end of the school year carnival on Friday, May 9th. I LOVE the school they are attending! The school has several carnivals throughout the year, but the end of the year carnival is the BEST! They rode ponies, climbed on rock walls, and more....I am so impressed on how many parents are involved in our school. The last day of school is June 6th. I am glad and a little sad, but there is a fun day program at the school this summer, which the girls will attend.

Last Games of the Spring Season! YEA!

Don't get me wrong, this was a GREAT season, but I'm glad it's over! Our last games of the season were played in 95 degree heat with 90% humidity. At the end of the girls games, all of the player little faces were hot and red, not to mention all of the parents. This was a great experience for all us. The girls are already asking about playing in the fall. Aden got her trophy after her game, Azul will receive her trophy at the soccer party on Thursday. To see the girl's faces when they saw they were getting trophies was worth all of the practices etc......

I'm back!!!

WOW! The last 3 to 4 weeks put the SOCCER MOM out of commission! But I'm back! I have LOTS of pictures and things to share! So stay tuned! The picture of Azul asleep on a chair, speaks for ALL of us!
