WOW! What a PARTY!

Wow!! All of our hard work paid off. The "Princess Party" for Aden and Azul was a success. Everyone enjoyed themselves. As the children arrived, we had a craft table set up in the living area with glittered wooden picture frames. The kids had fun decorating the frames with jewels and foam stick on shapes. We used an old Polaroid camera to take pictures to place in the frames. We had a castle back drop for the pictures. Games were: Pass the glass slipper, Pin the crown on the princess, and Crown relay races. We had two piƱatas. One was the Little Mermaid and the other was Bell from Beauty and the Beast. We rented a BIG moonwalk which was a castle with all of the Disney princesses. It had a slide and everything. LOTS OF FOOD! We had chicken and shrimp fajitas, mango salsa, charro beans, rice, fruit, cake, Popsicles, and more!!!! The girls received a nice variety of gifts, clothes, games, crafts, and dolls. Connie, you really missed a nice party. Thank you to everyone who came and shared the day with us and for making the party special for the girls.

My two Soccer Princesses!

Go Azul! Go Sidekicks!

Azul warming up before her game with the Tornados.

Go Tigers! Go Aden!

This soccer season has been so much fun! Both of the girls have done so well. As for Carlos and myself, I think we have enjoyed the season just as much as the girls! The girls had back to back games, which is always nice. Aden played at 10:45, and Azul's game was at 12:30 pm.

These pinatas ROCK! I got these down at Ruth's pinata shop down on 1st street. The party is just a week away, and whats a party without pinatas. The princess pinata is for Aden and the mermaid is for Azul. I can't wait until Saturday. Via Fiesta!

RAIN,RAIN, go away!

OH the RAIN! I know, we need rain, but we are trying to get the finishing touches for the party done, and with the rain, it SO HARD! We got the fence up, but it's not secure. Deep breath Michelle......It's going to be OK. The plan is to go to SAMS later, if the rain lets up to pick up some MORE stuff for the party. Our schedules this year have been enough to make anyone go CRAZY! But it's going to be OK! I went out this morning and took a picture of the iron fence. It will look nice when it's level and secure.

Beautiful & Quiet Day!

The Texas weather is MOODIER than me these days! We have gone from the 90's to the 40's in the past couple of days. Today is "picture perfect"! It's days like this, I don't want to go to work. Carlos finished the door on the shed this past week, and he started "filling"it up with our garage stuff. Even Sissy & Sassy are enjoying this beautiful day!

Aden and Azul warming up before the GAME!

Aden and Azul had a little time to get in a "practice" before Azul's game. Aden's team the Tigers were off this Saturday. After Azul's game this morning, we all went and had breakfast with our good friends, the Chavez family. The girls both have their team pictures later this afternoon.

KLRU Reading Program

Today up at the school, there was a reading program, which was sponsered by the local public television station, KLRU. This was a very nice program, which included reading, puppet making, and the children all made a super hero costume. There was a good turn out for the program, and the children all seemed to enjoy making the crafts.

Now thats a Vacume Cleaner!

Things always seem to break in 3's. Our refrigerator, coffee maker, and vacuum cleaner all broke this month. We have already replaced the refrigerator and coffee maker. Yesterday, we bought a new vacuum cleaner. We decided to get a wet/dry vac, for the house, cars, and garage etc....and this thing ROCKS!

Slow going!

Well, the door is on, but "not"connected. It has been soooo humid and drizzly, that Carlos has not been able to finish the shed. The door needs to be attached correctly and handle placed. He did finish the shelves inside the shed. After the door is placed, we just need to paint the shed. The plan is to paint the shed and our house to match.
